Striving for accuracy and precision - do you turn in sloppy or incomplete work? Are you more anxious to get rid of the assignment than to check it for accuracy and precision?

Being accurate and precise are not my strengths because I am not good at checking my work. I try my hardest to strive for accuracy, but it just doesn't seem to work out. During my first few homework, I never got a full 100 because I never went back and checked my work. I always rushed through the work and never got too detailed. For example, in the homework where I got 9/10, I got one point off because since the question did not ask me to explain, I just answered yes or no. If I checked my work again and made sure I am certain that every answer is right, then I would have gotten 100%. Later on, I've learned how to be accurate and precise. I try to be more patient and re-check all my work to make sure the answer I got before is right. Through balancing chemical equations, I learned to use different methods to check my work so that I can be accurate and precise. Because I am more familiar with balancing chemical equations, I can use different ways to confirm my answer.
